The Epic Movement

Although most guys will never admit it, they need people too. Unfortunately men have been taught to show no emotion, be strong, and need nothing. This is so horribly untrue. Band of Brothers, Saving Private Ryan, Gladiator and any other macho movie that has been released in the last decade have all had an underlying theme that "We need each other...".

The men at Epic are in the process of forming opportunities to get together on a regular basis. One service opportunity is our 'Faith in Action' team that is planning its future projects now. This team will go through the needs (Home repairs etc.) of members of the church and community and unite together to take care of the needs of people in our community that might not be able to complete these jobs on their own.

Other than working together to help finish the unfinished jobs, we will be getting together to just relax. That might be playing some football, going to ESPN zone to flush some money, or just going out and getting something to eat at the local steak-house. We are just planning places and times for us to get together and form that 'band of brothers' (without the bullets flying overhead).
